All of our clients submit letters of support from family and friends when we represent them on their marriage-based green card applications. We provide a short draft that you can use to help your family and friends write letters. In fact, you can write the letters for your family and friends, as long as you tell them that they should review and edit the entire letter before they sign it.
The letters will state how the person knows you and your spouse; how the writer spends time with you as a married couple; whether the writer has been to your home; and that the writer knows that you are submitting the letter with a marriage-based green card application. The bottom of the letter will have the writer’s full contact information and a copy of the writer’s photo ID. The letter should be only one page long. If you submit 5-15 letters, you’ll have 5 to 15 pages of names and faces of real people that USCIS can contact if USCIS wants to investigate your case.
If you need to talk to an experienced immigration attorney. We’ve helped hundreds of people traverse the complicated immigration and citizenship process. We would love to help you as well. Call (617-272-7980) or email hello@cambridgeimmigrationlaw.com to get in touch.
